Deja vu movie summary12/2/2023 ![]() ![]() In an attempt to make the twists unguessable Arvindh sabotages the little he had built. It is disappointing that the scenes which manage to escape this predictability are the ones where logic goes for a toss and the audience is taken for granted. With ricocheting references to France’s tradition of violent uprisings, Peretjatko gleefully unleashes the brazen energy of youth-on both sides of the camera. Cast: Arulnithi, Madhoo, Achyuth Kumar, Kali Venkat, Smruthi Venkat. Ji-Min goes to the police station to report the car accident and talks to. ![]() Since then, Ji-Min is haunted by visions of the dead woman appearing in front of her. The woman dies from the accident and they leave the scene of the accident. The film starts with a breathtaking scene at an actual Bastille Day military parade, which Truquette, the acrobat, somehow infiltrates to peddle a left-wing magazine and French Revolution trinkets. When Ji-Min ( Nam Gyu-Ri) is in a car with her fiance Woo-Jin ( Lee Gyu-Han) driving, Woo-Jin hits a woman. Peretjatko spins out a variety of comic inventions, including flashbacks and fantasies, perorations into the camera, and magic tricks, but the movie’s original French title, which translates as “The Girl of July 14th,” reflects the director’s historical ambitions. An undercover cop comes in to unravel the mystery. Two of them-Hector (Grégoire Tachnakian), a guard at the Louvre, and the unemployed Truquette (Vimala Pons), an amateur acrobat-are in love when they get separated, a carnivalesque chase, led by a quack doctor (Vincent Macaigne), ensues. Synopsis A state DGPs daughter goes missing as predicted by a crime novelist in his story. It centers on a group of young adults who, in the face of economic crisis, leave Paris for an impromptu beach trip. Antonin Peretjatko’s first feature, from 2013, is a loopy and audacious comedy with a political setting. ![]()
